Vivo V21 5G specifications have been revealed, to launch on April 27

Vivo V21 5G

Several months ago, Vivo introduced a bunch of new smartphones under its Vivo V20 series in India and other markets. The devices were quite successful due to their powerful cameras and decent specifications. Now, the company is planning to introduce the Vivo V21 series which is composed of a multitude of smartphones. We have the Vivo V21, V21e, V21 SE, and perhaps even a V21 Pro. According to reports, the company will introduce the new V21 and V21e in Malaysia on April 27. The entire lineup will be presented in India on the very same date. Ahead of the launch, some of the specifications for the upcoming V21 have been revealed. As expected, the new smartphone will be 5G ready thanks to a MediaTek Dimensity chipset. It will also honor the family with a powerful camera combo. Without further ado, let’s dive into the devices’ specifications.

Vivo V21 alleged specifications

According to a fresh new leak, the new smartphone will pack an AMOLED panel with FHD+ resolution. We assume the screen has 2,400 x 1,080 pixels and a 20:9 proportion. Under the hood, the new handset will pack a MediaTek Dimensity 800U chipset. For those unaware, this is a 7nm chipset that consists of two ARM Cortex-A76 cores clocked at up to 2.4GHz and six ARM Cortex-A55 cores clocked at up to 2GHz. The chipset comes with a Mali-G57 MC3 GPU. We assume that the basic model will come with 8GB of RAM. Vivo will also bring its virtual memory feature that adds an extra 3GB of RAM on top of the physical 8GB RAM. We assume that the smartphone will have at least 128GB of Internal Storage.

The device has a waterdrop notch that serves as a home for the 44MP selfie snapper. This camera has Optical Image Stabilization and Eye Auto Focus. Moving around to the back, we have a powerful 64MP sensor that is quite bright with an f/1.79 aperture. The main sensor also comes with Optical Image Stabilization. The phone also has an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP macro sensor.

Vivo V21

Interestingly, Vivo seems to be pursuing the “slim” profile with this smartphone. According to the company, this will be its slimmest smartphone with 5G capabilities. Hopefully, the company will not sacrifice battery to achieve this slim profile. Unfortunately, the phone will not come with a 3.5mm audio jack, so users will need to use the USB Type-C for charging and audio output. Of course, nowadays, you can also use a good pair of TWS earbuds.

The company is yet to announce the India launch date for the upcoming smartphone. As per the rumors, the device will hit the INR 25,000 ($335) price tag which is not bad for the package of specifications. The company will also introduce the Vivo V20 SE, but this is a 4G smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 720G.
