Apple WWDC will begin on June 7, iOS 15 announcement expected

Apple WWDC 2021

The end of May was quite important for Android enthusiasts due to Google’s I/O conference. The company revealed all its plans for Android 12 as well as the goodies coming with the next iteration of Android. The search giant also disclosed its plans for WearOS and other related technologies. Now, we’re glad to know that Apple enthusiasts will not have to wait much longer to discover what the Cupertino-based giant has in tow for its operating systems. Apple today announced that the Worldwide Developers Conference (Apple WWDC 2021) will start on June 7. The event will conclude three days later on June 10. Due to the COVID-19 concerns, the company will stick with the online-only formula that was adopted last year.

Worth noting that while this is a three-day event, users can expect the first day to be the busiest. That’s when the company also holds its keynote and where it will announce upcoming developments for its Operating Systems. We can expect the announcement of iOS 15, iPadOS 15, and the new versions of macOS, watchOS, and tvOS. This year, we may also see some hardware announcements.

Apple WWDC 2021 will follow last year’s online-only formula

Those interested in following the keynote will be available to stream from apple.com. Users will also enjoy it through the Apple Developer app, the Apple TV app on supported platforms, and YouTube. Moreover, on the first day is the Platforms State of the Union for the developers, where they can find out about the new tools, technologies, and advancements from Apple announced during the event. This will be available to stream via the Apple Developer app and the Apple Developer website.

Apple will also be holding its usual in-depth sessions and one-on-one labs for developers. These help developers talk to actual Apple engineers, as well as those who work on specific features or APIs related to the new software. Developers will be able to clear any doubts or confusion they might have about the platform. Apple Developer Program members can request one-on-one lab consultations with over 1,000 Apple experts. Starting on June 8, the session videos will be posted every day on the Apple Developer app and on the Apple Developer website.
