Couple weeks ago ZINGR’s CEO Kęstutis Gedaitis reported ,that they are working on trending hashtags nearby to connect local like – minded people. And now we have some public posts suggesting, that ZINGR team is working on stories nearby as an alternative to Instagram or Snapchat giant platforms. World of social networks can be ruthless, but for the customer some extra competition and options are always good.
As we can see from a new design of ZINGR, there will be a naming switch from „People nearby“ to „Nearby stories“. Stories looks on default just like on Snapchat or Facebook, but from public posts we know, that these stories come from people in your area. There is still no info how many stories nearby people will be able to upload, or the possible length of videos stories. Eventually if there will be any stories filters like on Instagram or Snapchat. But we can guess, that such features will be surely coming in the future if necessary.
