iQOO is gearing up to introduce a new gaming and hardware-focused smartphone dubbed iQOO 8. In fact, the company’s new flagship is gearing up to be the world’s first flagship smartphone with Snapdragon 888 Plus. While the company is busy with the preparations for its new device, it found time to unveil a new colorway for the iQOO 7 in India. The new colorway brings a shining orange gradient finish and is dubbed Monster Orange. The new iQOO 6 variant will go on sale from July 26 via Amazon India and the iQOO store for retail of INR 31,990 ($430). The smartphone was previously only available in Ice Blue and Storm Black colors.

The new colorway is available in variants with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of Internal Storage and 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of Internal Storage. In terms of technical specifications that new color option is identical to the other two in terms of specifications. Interestingly, the Orange colorway brings the “Monster” text on the back.

As aforementioned, the new colorway does not bring a difference in the specifications. The Indian iQOO 7 comes with a 6.62-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display. The device offers a 120 Hz refresh rate and 300 Hz touch sampling rate which delivers a smooth gaming experience. The device packs a centered punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. Inside the hole, we have a 16 MP unit for selfies and video calls. Moving around to the back, the device sports a triple-camera setup. It comprises a primary 48 MP Sony IMX598 sensor. The secondary camera is a 13 MP ultrawide module with a 2 MP mono lens.

Under the hood, the smartphone sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC. It is paired with 8 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of Internal Storage. The device runs Android 11-based Funtouch OS in India. For that reason, it comes with the extended RAM feature that is trending among Chinese companies. It takes up to 3 GB of your internal storage to use as virtual RAM. The smartphone also packs a 4,400mAh battery with 66W fast-charging support.

These specifications sound familiar, especially if you’re thinking of the iQOO Neo 5. The fact is that this handset is a rebranded Chinese iQOO Neo 5. The true iQOO 7 that was released in China with Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 is dubbed iQOO 7 Legend in India and across global markets.

As we mentioned before, the new variant will be on sale through Amazon India and the iQOO store for the retail of INR 31,990 ($430).
