The recently launched POCO M3 Pro 5G is hands down still one of the best smartphone we’ve ever listed for under $200. This beast of a phone is indeed powered by the mid-range MediaTek Dimensity 700 CPU; coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage (expandable via microSD).

POCO’s M3 Pro 5G then features a large 6.5-inch display with Full HD+, a refresh rate of 90Hz and a punch hole at the center top for the 8MP selfie camera. Meanwhile on the back we find three cameras consisting in a 48 megapixel primary, a 2MP for macros and 2MP for depth data on the back.

The POCO M3 Pro 5G does disappoint in autonomy either with a large 5000mAh battery and support for 18W fast charging. We also find NFC, a 3.5mm jack and even an infrared emitter.

2. Realme Narzo 30 5G

Coming from Redmi’s strongest rival, Realme, we find the Realme Narzo 30 5G. The smartphone is very similar to the POCO M3 Pro 5G just above, featuring a powerful MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset; along with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage (expandable through microSD). The display is also quite similar, with a 6.5-inch FHD+ IPS panel with a 90Hz high refresh rate and a touch sampling rate of 120Hz.

Photography wise, the Narzo 30 5G brings three rear cameras including a 48MP primary sensor, a 2MP macro camera and a 2MP black and white sensor. Meanwhile for selfies we have a single 16MP snapper.

Finally, the Realme Narzo 30 5G is backed by a large 5000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging technology.

If you find yourself with less than $150 to spend on a smartphone, the latest Redmi Note 8 2021 is probably one of the best options here. This refreshed edition is powered by the very decent MediaTek Helio G85 CPU; along with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.

Redmi’s Note 8 2021 is also relatively compact compared to other phones, bringing a 6.3-inch IPS display sporting Full HD+ resolution with a 13MP selfie snapper at the top. Meanwhile on the back we find a 48MP main camera; paired with an 8MP ultra wide lens, a 2MP macro camera a 2MP depth sensor.

Autonomy wise, the Redmi Note 8 2021 is fueled by a smaller 4000mAh with support for 18W fast charging. It features a 3.5mm audio jack, infrared emitter and runs MIUI 12 based.

The Blackview A100 is another interesting option in the $150 price range as it brings a modern and somewhat unique design. Starting with the massive 6.67-inch display with Full HD+ surrounded by what look to be very symmetrical bezels.

The smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Helio P70, along with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage; not too shabby for the price.

As far as photography is concerned, the Blackview A100 features a 12MP main camera, paired with a 2MP depth sensor and a 2MP macro camera. For selfies we find an 8MP snapper in the punch hole at the top.

Lastly, the Blackview A100 packs a 4680mAh battery with support for 18W, it has NFC and runs Android 11 out of the box.

5. UMIDIGI Bison Pro

Wrapping up the list, we have the latest UMIDIGI Bison Pro, a rugged phone that still brings decent performance with its MediaTek Helio G80 chipset.

The rugged phone then brings a relatively compact 6.3-inch Full HD+ display with a nice 20MP selfie camera in the notch at the top. Moving onto the back we have a total of three cameras including a 48MP primary, a 16MP ultra wide and a 5MP macro lens.

Finally, the UMIDIGI Bison Pro is fueled by an averagely sized 5000mAh battery that can be charged at 18W; it features NFC, a 3.5mm audio jack and runs Android 11 out of the box.
