Samsung Galaxy Tab S8, Tab S8+, and the Tab S8 Ultra have been subject to multiple leaks and speculations over the past few months. Now, a noted leaker has divulged some key details about the hardware of the Galaxy Tab S8, and its siblings. Last year, the South Korean tech company announced the Galaxy Tab S7 series. So, it could be gearing up to launch the Galaxy Tab S8 lineup this year.

Despite the lack of an official confirmation, the rumor mill has been churning out all sorts of speculations surrounding the Galaxy Tab S8, and the other models in the series. However, Samsung has neither confirmed nor denied these speculations. Earlier this year, multiple sources revealed details about the upcoming Samsung tablets, which are developed under a project codenamed Basquait.

New Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Lineup Details Revealed

Noted tipster Ice Universe, the Snapdragon 898 will be powering up the impending Galaxy Tab S8 series. In other words, the next-gen premium tablets will not feature the Exynos 2200 and the AMD GPU. The tipster did not shed light on why Samsung has decided to dump the Exynos 2200. However, there is a possibility that the Exynos 2200’s yield rates may not be adequate at the moment, according to NotebookCheck.

To recall, previously surfaced reports have also indicated that the Galaxy S22 will launch in some markets with the Snapdragon 898. Aside from that, the Galaxy Tab S8 series could reportedly come with 45W fast charging support. It is worth mentioning here that the Tab S7 lineup already supports 45W fast charging. Samsung fans would have expected the company to provide an even faster charging on its new tablets. For instance, the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 supports 67W charging.

Specifications & Features (Expected)

Taking to their Twitter account back in July, leaker Ice Universe suggested that the Galaxy Tab S8+ will draw its juices from a 10,090mAh battery. The tipster went on to reveal that the S8 Ultra will feature a larger battery with 11,500mAh capacity. The vanilla model could house an 8,000mAh battery. Furthermore, the tipster reiterated tha the Tab S8 lineup will come with 45W fast charging support.

Previously surfaced reports have claimed that the Tab S8 Ultra will sport a 14.6-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Aside from that, they claim that the device will offer 512GB of built-in storage capacity. The Tab S8+, on the other hand, features a larger 12.4-inch OLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. It houses an 8MP front camera and will ship with 8GB of RAM. The Plus model could offer 256GB of internal storage.

Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra

The Tab S8 features an 11-inch TFT display that delivers a refresh rate of 120Hz. In the optics department, it has an 8MP camera on the front. The device comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of built-in storage capacity. The upcoming tablets will boast an array of other notable features such as a dual-camera system (13MP, 5MP camera) with flash, a Bluetooth enabled S Pen and quad-speakers. Some reports claim that the Tab S8 series could go official in early 2022.
