OPPO Watch Free – a light entry-level smartwatch released for $85

Oppo Watch Free has a large 1.64-inch AMOLED screen with a PPI of 326. The display uses a 2.5D curved surface and has a scratch-resistant glass. There are two colour options including black and quicksand gold. The entire smartwatch including the strap weighs only 33g which is quite light. The strap adopts a custom leather texture, which is dry and skin-friendly.

This new watch focuses on sleep issues and launches OSleep full-scene sleep monitoring. This feature fully guards the user’s sleeping habits. It does some monitoring before going to bed, during sleep, and sleep analysis after sleep. Before the user goes to bed, the watch generates a sleep phone usage time report by analyzing the usage of the phone to help the user analyze the reasons for the difficulty in falling asleep. The feature also provides an analysis of late sleeping habit and how healthy it is to the user.

Oppo Watch Free comprehensively monitors and locates sleep breathing problems. The watch does this by monitoring the blood oxygen concentration, heart rate variability, and snoring data during the user’s sleep.

In addition, OPPO Watch Free supports a series of smart functions. These functions include message notification, WeChat, Alipay dual-platform payment, Xiaobu voice assistant, real-time multi-screen, and e-sports mode. This smartwatch also supports 100+ sports mode recording, as well as running, walking, rowing measurements. The Watch automatically recognizes four indoor and outdoor sports, allowing users to practice anytime and anywhere. It also accurately record every second of the user’s participation in these activities.

Oppo Watch Free has strong battery life, with a maximum battery life of up to 14 days. At the same time, it supports fast charging function. According to the company, a 5 minutes charge can give the user a whole day of usage.

As for its price, the Oppo Watch Free is available for 549 yuan ($85). Like we said earlier, there are two colour options, this includes black and quicksand gold. The first official sales of this smartwatch will take place on September 30th.
