After floating around the rumor mill for quite some time now, the iQOO Z5x has been spotted on JD.com ahead of its imminent launch. The iQOO Z5x could turn out to be the latest entrant in the Chinese smartphone market if the phone’s JD listing is anything to go by. Regrettably, the listing does not divulge key specifications or provide any other piece of vital information about the handset.
However, since the phone passed through the 3C certification website with model number V2131A, earlier this month. The listing confirmed that the phone will support 5G connectivity. The same iQOO V2131A phone has also appeared on the IMEI database. The phone’s 3C listing suggested that it will support fast charging. Moreover, the model number V2131A also popped up on the Google Play Console, along with another smartphone carrying model number V2130A.
iQOO Z5x Arrives On JD.com
If previously surfaced reports are anything to go by, the iQOO Z5x will go official sometime next month. The iQOO Z5x moniker with model number V2131A has passed through multiple certification websites. This could be an indication that the phone’s launch is just around the corner. Furthermore, the phone’s Google Play Console listing showcased its front design, featuring a punch-hole at the top center. The iQOO India branch reportedly sent out invites for a September 27 event, where the company was expected to launch its Z5 series smartphones.
Launch Date, Design & Specifications
As mentioned earlier, the iQOO Z5 has been subject to several leaks lately. Last month, a report from GSM Arena suggested that the iQOO Z5 will hit the store shelves in India on September 27. Furthermore, the report suggested that that the phone will be placed in a sub-INR 30,000 (about $410) price segment. The company also confirmed that it will unveil the Z5 in the country on September 27 at 12 PM IST (noon).
The invite sent out by the iQOO’s Indian branch gave us a glimpse of the phone’s outward appearance. The rear panel appeared to sport blue-ish color, and house a triple camera setup featuring a 64MP main camera. The volume rocker and power button were available on the side edge of the phone. The power button was tapped to serve as the fingerprint reader as well. The phone’s Play Console listing suggested that the phone will sport a display that offers a Full HD+ resolution.
Furthermore, it suggests that the device will run on the Android 11 operating system. Under the hood, the phone is likely to pack a Dimensity 900 chipset. Aside from that, it could ship with 8GB of RAM. Both V213A and the V2130A smartphones seemed to have similar specs in the Play Console listing. The V2130A is likely to arrive in China as the Vivo S10e. It is still unclear whether the V213A will boast and the S10e will boast identical specs.
