Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4, and the Galaxy Z Fold 4 foldable smartphones are likely to house under-display cameras. The South Korean tech company recently brought the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 into the Indian market. The foldable phones were introduced as the top-of-the-line products in the country. Now, Samsung’s latest foldable phones will adopt cutting-edge tech and come with top-notch hardware.

The most notable feature of the 2021 foldable smartphones from Samsung has been the UDC (under-display camera) on the folding screen. Despite being just an ordinary sensor, this 4MP UDC comes in handy for video calling. However, Samsung’s next foldable will reportedly offer a radically overhauled UDC. It is worth mentioning here that the tech company is still mum on its plan to adopt the tech for its next foldable display smartphones.

If a recently surfaced leak is anything to go by, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 will house a couple of UDC modules. Noted leaker Tron (via Naver) has shed some light on the Galaxy Z Flip 4 foldable phone’s key features. Last month, a report indicated that the Galaxy Z Fold 4 will feature an in-screen fingerprint scanner. This piece of information came from a Samsung patent document. If earlier reports prove to be true, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 could go official in August 2022, around the Galaxy Unpacked event.

While we are still months away from Galaxy Z Fold 4 launch, Naver has shared a leak that divulges key improvements of Samsung’s next premium foldable phone. The report claims that the Galaxy Z Fold 4 will probably come with a better UDC than the existing model. Furthermore, the report suggests that Samsung is likely to adopt the tech for the main, as well as the cover display. Aside from that, the company will be offering an improved camera on the Galaxy Fold 4.

The foldable device will reportedly house flagship-grade cameras. Moreover, the phone will feature a newfangled hinge mechanism, better water, dust resistance and will weigh less. On the downside, the phone will retain its predecessor’s battery capacity. In other words, it will be backed by a 4400mAh battery.

Based on the development, Samsung could go for one of the two camera technology for the front shooter. Aside from that, it will have a better hinge, as well as improved water, dust resistance.
