MIUI 13 update to roll out after December 13, complete list of devices

MIUI is the product where Xiaomi has focused greatly and since its inception, this skin has attracted attention for its complexity, originality and flexibility. At the moment, several versions of the smartphone firmware have already been released and the current iteration has the serial number 12.5. But it will soon be replaced by MIUI 13, the official launch of which will begin later next week – according to Lei Jun himself. This information is also confirmed from elsewhere. Today, Xiaomi announced that it will stop distributing the weekly Developer ROM (Beta) on MIUI 12.5 on December 13th. The next upgrade will be that of the new MIUI interface – which will become available by the end of the month.

So far, the list of devices that will receive MIUI 13 is quite extensive and, according to experts, the upgrade for each will start at different times. So we have to be patient for our device and not be disappointed if at the start of the MIUI release no update appears on the mobile for upgrade.

Note that this is an unofficial list. Made by Xiaomiui and based on Xiaomi’s information policy. It is worth noting that the list of those who can count on the update of MIUI 13 includes 2019 models. According to reports, the new version will reach all Xiaomi Mi 9, Redmi K20 and Redmi Note 8 lineups.

We know that MIUI 13 is based on two versions of the little “green robot”: Android 11 and Android 12. In the new firmware, the developers have redesigned the interface and added new application icons and widgets. However the changes will affect mostly the home screen and control centre. Xiaomi is completing the preparations for the announcement of the Xiaomi 12 and is also preparing to present the latest version of MIUI. Rumor has it that the presentation will take place on December 16.

Interestingly, the presentation itself promises to be large and last four hours. It is too large to announce a single product, which means that the company will showcase many new products. In addition to MIUI 13, it may introduce the Xiaomi 12 and an update to the foldable Xiaomi Mix Fold. You should not count on the announcement of Xiaomi 12 Pro and Xiaomi 12 Ultra however. Most likely, the company will postpone their release until 2022.
