POCO will launch smart watches under its own brand

Xiaomi was the first to do this, and then the Redmi sub-brand followed. Now it’s time for another sub-brand to enter the niche of wearable electronics. It was decided to start with the POCO Watch smartwatch, which would be more correctly called a fitness watch. The wearable will be available on April 26 and the first country where it will be available will be India.

A well-known and reputable online insider @OnLeaks rushed in and posted renders showing the design of POCO Watch online. The smartwatch received a rectangular waterproof case (5ATM), on the right side of which they offered a button. Its dimensions will be 39.1×34.4×9.98 mm and weight 31 grams. We expect that a 1.6-inch AMOLED color display with a resolution of 360×320 pixels will be available on the front side of the smartwatch.

In terms of functionality, everything in POCO Watch should be typical for this kind of device. Smartwatches will receive tools that allow you to monitor your health and physical activity, notify you of received calls and notifications, wake up and analyze sleep phases. They promise an optical heart rate monitor and a sensor for measuring the level of oxygen in the blood (SpO2). The wearable gadget will get a 225 mAh battery.

Gizchina News of the week

Last year, Xiaomi released the gaming Redmi K40 Gaming Edition, which was later successfully transformed into POCO F3 GT. The idea of releasing a relatively affordable device for gamers will continue its development, and the release of POCO F4 GT loomed on the horizon. And you won’t have to wait long.

Recently, the company posted a teaser dedicated to the upcoming presentation of POCO F4 GT, which will take place on April 26th. In addition to the smartphone, the company intends to show some new items from the Internet of things segment. What these devices will be, there is no information.

It would be logical to assume that POCO F4 GT will be another rebranded product and this time it will clone the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition , which debuted first in the Redmi K50 family. If that hunch is correct, then the upcoming POCO F4 GT will offer a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 platform, a 6.67-inch OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 4,700mAh battery with 120W fast charging.

The smartphone should have stereo speakers, a liquid cooling system, retractable triggers; and a triple rear camera with 64 MP + 8 MP + 2 MP sensors. The main question is how much they will ask for POCO F4 GT. As a rule, the company’s pricing policy is moderate; which means that the device has every chance of becoming a bestseller with an adequate price tag.
