Redmi K50 White Snow edition is already sold out

Redmi K50

Redmi launched the Redmi K50 earlier this year and the device came in four colorways – Black, Blue, Green, and Silver. Perhaps this was not enough for some users, in special, those who enjoy the White colorways. For that reason, Redmi decided to introduce a Snow White colorway for the Chinese market. After much anticipation, the company put it on sale in China at 12 AM on June 18. A few hours after the release, the colorway is already sold out.

Redmi introduced this new Snow White colorway with a starting price of CNY 2,399 ($357) on June 18 in China. According to the publication, Xiaomi China’s online store showed an “Arrival Notice” message for the White variant of the device. Worth noting that the colorway is also unavailable on the Chinese retailer website, JD.com. It’s unclear when it will be made available for purchase again. Hopefully, this wasn’t a Limited Edition that will never reach the shelves again. We don’t think so, otherwise, Redmi would make it clear that it was a Limited Variant.

The Redmi K50 is currently available in China in four variants with a higher offering coming with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of Internal Storage. This one has a price tag of 2,899 CNY or $432.

Redmi K50 specs

The Redmi K50 flaunts a 6.67-inch OLED panel that comes with a Full HD+ resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate. The phone runs MIUI 13 with Android 12 OS running as the underlying version. The device comes with a side-facing fingerprint scanner. Under the hood, the device packs the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 SoC with LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 3.1 storage, and a 5,000 mAh battery. It has a 20 MP front-facing shooter. Moving around to the back, there is a 48 MP main shooter, an 8 MP ultrawide snapper, 2 MP macro lens.

Initially, we’ve been expecting the Redmi K50 to reach global markets as POCO F4 5G. However, the latter will debut on June 23 and is, in fact, a rebranded Redmi K40S. In related news, the company plans to launch a Redmi K50 Ultra smartphone.
