Apple’s iPhone 14 Pro Dynamic Island is not something new at all

Dynamic Island

The iPhone 14 Pro’s biggest aesthetic innovation was a new cutout that Apple calls Dynamic Island. Where incoming calls and text messages, other notifications, and minimized app all show.

Some have claimed that this function is absolutely pointless, but Apple fans, on the other hand, are enthused about the creative solution and making fun of Android manufacturers for not coming up with it sooner.

However, the Android community has previously experienced something like this. According to Mydrivers, the Honor V20 gained a feature like Dynamic Island at the end of 2018. At that time, displays with holes punches for the front camera were becoming more and more common. Honor created a function known as “capsule” using a solution with a single hole in the top left corner.

iPhone 14 Pro Max Features

iPhone 14 Pro Dynamic Island has been available in the Honor V20 four years ago

When the user uses the front camera during a video conversation, a visual capsule that shows the camera’s functionality forms around it. The capsule also serves as a reminder to the user to look directly into the camera while shooting a selfie. It’s important to note that the iPhone 14 Pro’s Dynamic Island cutout offers a lot more features.

Gizchina News of the week

The Dynamic Island cutout has taken the place of the conventional notch on the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. For features like incoming calls, alarms, notifications, Face ID verification, timers, turn-by-turn navigation, live action, and more. The pill-shaped cutout may take a variety of forms and sizes depending on the software.

Recall that the front camera array, which featured a camera, dot projector, microphone, speaker, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, flood illuminator, and infrared camera, could not be shrunk five years ago. It needed to be capable of handling phone calls, performing Face ID, and taking excellent selfies. Apple in 2017 had two options: adopt the notch or maintain a large bezel. Which would make the phone immediately appear outdated in comparison to Samsung models. The phone would cost more since an OLED display cost more when it has a notch. But the company, however, adopted the notch and increased the prices. And now updates the notch again with the new dynamic island.
