iPhone 14 Plus delivery delays – Pro/Max demand is still strong

iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus

Since the official launch of the iPhone 14 series, a couple of agencies have been tracking their sales. According to the reports, relative to the iPhone 13 Pro, the iPhone 14 Pro model is still large. However, the iPhone 14 is still weaker than the iPhone 13. Nevertheless, the iPhone 14 Plus is still in high demand, there seems to be a change. Since its launch, the iPhone 14 Pro has been a very popular device for consumers. In the fourth week, JPMorgan analysts’ Apple Product Availability Tracker on Sunday sees a similar situation to the previous week. There is a strong demand for the Pro models and weaker demand for non-Pro models.

However, the lifeline of the iPhone 14 series depends on the iPhone 14 Plus. As the October 7 launch date looms, deliveries for the model have begun to stretch. The delivery now exceeds the launch date in most regions except the US. JPMorgan Chase believes that this is a sign that the model is gaining favour with consumers as the launch date approaches.

Delivery time stretch to over a month in some regions

Overall, the average delivery times for the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max across all regions were 2 days, 33 days and 40 days, respectively. Relative to the iPhone 13, the iPhone 14 has shorter lead times. The iPhone 14 Pro has “in line with demand, or even slightly lower”, and the iPhone 14 Pro Max has a “more extended” lead time.

In the U.S., iPhone 14 lead times are stable at 4 days, while iPhone 14 Plus is still available on launch day. By comparison, the lead times for the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini are 14 days and 20 days, respectively. Delivery times for the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max increase slightly, to 32 and 39 days. In retail stores, the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro are available for same-day pickup. However, potential buyers of the iPhone 14 Pro Max will have to wait.

Elsewhere, delivery times for iPhone 14 Pro models in China increased to 36 days and 43 days, respectively. Meanwhile, the delivery time for the iPhone 14 is 2 days, down from 4 days a week ago. The delivery time for the iPhone 14 Plus is now beyond October 7 to October 18-20. In Germany and the UK, the iPhone 14 is next-day delivery. However, the iPhone 14 Plus will take a longer delivery time. The delivery time for the iPhone 14 Plus is longer than that for the iPhone 13 mini. For Pro models, Germany enjoys a slight increase in lead times, but the UK remains the same.

In terms of wearable device tracking, strong demand for the Apple Watch Ultra continues for another week. The delivery time is 26 days, down slightly from 30 days a week ago. The Apple Watch Series 8 also performed well, at 16 days, compared to 19 days a week ago. Apple Watch SE 2 delivery time dropped from 8 days to 6 days. The AirPods Pro 2 wireless earphones currently have a global delivery time of around 4 days. However, in China, the delivery time is now 11 days, from 4 days a week ago.
