Infinix Zero 5G 2023 arrives with Dimensity 1080

Infinix is not done yet with the Infinix Zero series in 2022, or better saying, it’s ready to move to 2023. Today, the company enters the trend of “yearly-named” smartphones with the Infinix Zero 5G 2023. The new “2023” smartphone arrives quietly and brings the MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC. The device serves as a sequel to the last year’s Infinix Zero 5G and is a decent phone. Let’s dive into its specifications. Worth noting that this device’s launch was already expected.

Infinix Zero 5G 2023 specifications

Under the hood, the phone boasts the MediaTek Dimensity 1080 5G SoC with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of Internal Storage. To those unaware, this chipset is a revamped Dimensity 920 and brings decent performance and efficiency, plus 5G connectivity. The Infinix Zero 5G 2023 is the latest device to bring it. The Redmi Note 12 Pro series and the upcoming Realme 10 Pro+ are also devices with this new chipset.

When it comes to the camera department, the Infinix Zero 5G 2023 brings a triple-camera array. It has a 50 MP main shooter, a 2 MP macro snapper, and a 2 MP depth sensor. The ultrawide shooter is missing here, but we can’t blame Infinix as a lot of other brands are starting to neglect this module in mid-ranges. Anyway, the Infinix Zero 5G 2023 also brings a 16 MP selfie shooter. It sits inside a centered punch-hole. The display is a 6.78-inch IPS LCD with Full HD+ resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate.

In terms of software, the phone still runs Android 12 with Infinix’s XOS 12 atop. There is a 5,000 mAh battery keeping the lights on. It comes with 33W fast-charging support. The Infinix Zero 5G sells in Black, Orange, and White colorways. Unfortunately, details like pricing and availability are still a mystery. Infinix will likely disclose these in a near future. Hopefully, it will come at an attractive price. After all, the company needs to make users consider this instead of the Redmi Note 12 Pro series or the Realme 10 Pro+.

The new phone will join the Ultra which is already available globally.
