Vivo S16 Pro with 12GB RAM, Android 13 OS visits Geekbench

The Vivo S16 Pro smartphone has been spotted on the Geekbench benchmarking website with key specifications ahead of launch.

It looks like Vivo is on the verge of unveiling a new S series smartphone dubbed the Vivo S16 Pro. This S-series phone will sit between the mid-range and premium segments.

Notably, the Vivo S16 Pro will pack an older flagship chipset and support a 120HZ refresh rate. Aside from this, the handset is likely to boast a myriad of other premium features.

To recap, Vivo launched the S15 Pro in China with a starting price of CNY 3399 back in May. For this price, you can get the 8GB RAM+256GB storage variant.

Alternatively, you can go for the 12GB RAM+256GB storage model if you’re willing to shell out CNY 3699. The device appeared on Geekbench with 12GB RAM in May.

Now, the Vivo S16 Pro has surfaced on the Geekbench website. The Geekbench listing sheds light on the upcoming handset’s key features.

Noted tipster OnLeaks shared a few Vivo S16 Pro renders earlier this month. So, the leaked renders gave us a glimpse into the S-series smartphone’s design.

According to the listing, the Vivo S16 Pro will get a processor with 8 cores and a 2GHz base frequency. Moreover, the chipset will have 4 cores clocking at 2GHz, and 3 cores with a peak clock speed of 3GHz.

Lastly, the processor will have one more core clocking at 3.10GHz. which is a sign that the Vivo S16 Pro might pack a Dimensity 8200 SoC. This processor is 5G-ready.

Also, the chip has a Mali-G610 MC6 GPU and 12GB of RAM. The Vivo S16 Pro will run Android 13 OS with OriginOS skin on top. Moreover, it gained 988 and 3721 in Geekbench’s single-core and multi-core tests.

The Vivo S15 Pro sports a 6.56-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Also, the handset has a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP portrait lens on the back.

For selfies, the Vivo S15 Pro uses a 32MP front shooter. So, the Vivo S16 Pro will probably bring upgrades over its predecessor.
