OnePlus Pad: Charging speed and battery capacity revealed

On February 7th, OnePlus will disclose the OnePlus 11 flagship to global markets. The device will be the star of the show, but will not be the only product attending the event. In fact, the event will be important for OnePlus as a brand. The company will launch a new range of products that will further diversify its portfolio. In India, we know that OnePlus will introduce the OnePlus 11R, a new OnePlus Smart TV, the new OnePlus Buds, and its first keyboard. Besides the keyboard, there will be another “first” for the brand – the company’s first tablet, the OnePlus Pad.

OnePlus will be the latest brand from BBK Electronics to join the tablet segment. After Realme, Oppo, and Vivo, OnePlus will make its glorious entrance. The OnePlus Pad has been a target of leaks and rumors, and we already know a lot about its design. The device will be different from any other tablet we’ve seen in recent years – thanks to a unique-styled Oreo-like camera. Now, we have a new set of details about the specs coming with the slate.

OnePlus Pad alleged specifications

The tipster Digital Chat Station comes today to shed some light on the battery and charging specs. According to him, the OnePlus Pad will arrive with a 4,320 mAh dual-cell battery unit. So, in the end, it will have a total capacity of 8,640 mAh. Of course, the use of a dual-cell battery suggests speedier charging. The tablet will not disappoint with 67W fast charging. Given the size of this battery, we assume that 67W will take around 1 hour to charge it completely.

The tipster also confirms the 2.8K display resolution for the tablet. This joins the already confirmed specs of an LCD panel with up to 144 Hz refresh rate, HDR 10+, and Dolby Vision support. The size remains a mystery, but we expect something between the 10-inch and 12-inch territory. After all, the leaked specs confirm that OnePlus is targeting users that want a good device for multimedia consumption.

Unfortunately, the chipset giving power to the OnePlus Pad remains a mystery. Will it bring back the SD870? We don’t know, but considering the 144Hz refresh rate, it needs a powerful GPU. The slate will get a premium design with aluminum and there will be a green color option that matches the OnePlus 11. The teaser campaign will continue in the next few days and we expect more leaks to pop out.
