AirPods Pro Gen 2 Watch Out, Huawei Freebuds Pro 2+ is Coming!

Huawei FreeBuds Pro 2+

Apple has been leading the True Wireless Stereo (TWS) buds space for quite some time. However, you canā€™t deny that most of the innovation in the wireless earphone space is led by Chinese brands. And after having major success with the FreeBuds 5i, Huawei FreeBuds Pro 2+ is ready to take on the king, the AirPods Pro Gen 2.

How so? Well, a leak about the FreeBuds Pro 2+ has just emerged. From that, it seems like Huawei is going to go all-in in terms of innovation. And if Huawei does go along the path that the leak suggests, the AirPods Pro Gen 2 will not be a competition for Huawei anymore!

Huawei FreeBuds Pro 2+ Will Come With an Innovative Tech

According to the leak, Huaweiā€™s new FreeBuds Pro 2+ will integrate heart rate measurement technology. Yes, it is the same tech that is on your smartwatch. And this will make the FreeBuds Pro 2+ the first TWS buds to integrate such a health-focused tech into audio accessories.

The screenshot from the tipster revealed interesting heart rate features too. For example, with the app, the Huawei FreeBuds Pro 2+ might be able to offer low and high heart rate reminders. Also, there is one feature that suggests that the buds can take high-precision heart rate measurements.

However, we donā€™t really know where the sensor is located. Thereā€™s no info regarding the sensor Huawei will be using either. Still, when it comes to accuracy, the Huawei FreeBuds Pro 2+ will not be that far from a good smartwatch.

Innovative and Eye-Catching Design

Heart rate technology is not the only thing that will make the Huawei FreeBuds Pro 2+ unique. The leak also gave us a first look at the amazing design of the TWS buds. Compared to the predecessor, the eye-catching design feature is the Huawei + Devialet branding that is on the front of the charging case.

The charging case also has a unique gold design to it. Huawei made the same design choice for the earbuds. There is a gold outline on the stems of the buds. And both of these details come in a sparkly gold finish, which might not be that eye-catching to all. So, we are hoping that Huawei will make some changes in other color variations.

Besides that, the leaker did not offer any information regarding the specs of the Huawei FreeBuds Pro 2+. However, as it will be a successor to the FreeBuds Pro 2, there will surely be audiophile features. That is, the buds are more likely to come with high-resolution audio support. And there can be advanced codec options too!

What Else Can Huawei FreeBuds Pro 2+ Offer

The Huawei FreeBuds Pro 2 had most of the features that TWS users look for. That includes adaptive EQ, dual drivers, and the ability to produce true-tone sound. On that note, there are three different EQ options available in Pro 2. There is even an advanced noise control, which Huawei calls active noise control 2.0.

Moreover, the Pro 2 offered dual device connection, allowing users to connect the buds to two devices at the same time. This eliminates the hassle of disconnecting and connecting the buds from your laptop and phone, for example.

You can expect all these features to be available in the Huawei FreeBuds Pro 2+. In fact, Huwei might even integrate more advanced functionalities in the new buds.

No matter what, the Pro 2+ will surely be Hi-Res and HWA audio wireless certified. And with Devialet company backing Huawei up, the new TWS can indeed make the Apple AirPods Pro Gen 2 shake a little.
