vivo's upcoming budget phone, the Y600, will have a 10,000mAh battery. The company has also confirmed a Guinness World Record for the device, based on its ability to stream video for more than 32 hours. The phone has yet to launch, and vivo has not announced an official release date.
What vivo has confirmed
The official poster describes the battery as a 10,000mAh BlueVolt cell. During a test on August 11, 2026, the phone livestreamed continuously for 32 hours and 37 minutes. Guinness World Records recognized the result as the longest continuous livestream test of a mobile phone.
What leaks say about the specifications
Leaks suggest the Y600 will use a MediaTek Dimensity 7300e chip, alongside a 50MP main camera and a 32MP selfie camera. The phone is also expected to carry IP68 and IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance. Wired charging could reach 44W.
The Y600 name already covers several phones in China, including the Y600 Pro, Y600 Turbo and Y600i. The Y600 Pro arrived in April with a 10,200mAh battery and around 90W charging. It launched at roughly $244 in China.
Some sources even say the new Y600 could be a rebranded device with a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display and a 120Hz refresh rate.
Will the vivo Y600 launch outside China?
vivo has released other Y-series phones in international markets. Last year, the Y400 5G arrived in India with a 6,000mAh battery, 90W charging and IP68 and IP69 ratings.
A wider release for the Y600 remains possible, but there is no confirmed information about its availability or price outside China.
The phone will also face competition from brands such as Honor, OnePlus and Redmi, which have been introducing devices with increasingly large batteries. Whether the Y600 can stand out will depend on more than battery capacity alone.
What to consider before buying
The 32-hour livestream test offers a useful indication of the Y600's endurance, but it does not tell us how long the phone will last during everyday use. Screen brightness, software and other hardware components will all affect battery life.
The battery's size will also make the phone heavier. The Y600 Pro weighs 221g, although the weight of the new Y600 remains unknown.
Charging speed is another detail worth watching. If the reported 44W rate is accurate, charging a 10,000mAh battery could take some time, More then an hour is my guess. The actual result will depend on the charging system and how quickly the phone reduces power input as the battery fills.
The
Dimensity 7300e would also place the phone in the mid-range category rather than the flagship one. Its performance will matter to buyers who play demanding games or run resource-intensive apps.
For now, the Y600's main confirmed feature is its large battery. Its weight, real-world battery life, charging time and final price will help determine whether that capacity translates into a practical advantage.
