Wireless Update for PS5 Controllers Fixes Major DualSense Complaint

Sony PS5 DualSense Update

Since its launch in 2020, the PlayStation 5 has received widespread acclaim for its next-gen graphics and gaming experience. DualSense controller has been the best controller I have personally experienced. It offers more unique features than most other controllers in the market. However, there has been one notable area where the DualSense fell short, especially in comparison to what fans expected. However, Sony found a way around and addressed the DualSense controller complaint of not updating wirelessly.

Finally, Sony Releases Wireless Updates for DualSense Controllers

Sony with its recent update has made it possible for PS5 users to update their controllers wirelessly. Much like the PS5 console itself, Sony frequently pushes out new tweaks and improvements for DualSense controllers. Previously, for a user to update the controllers, they had to connect the DualSense via a USB cable to the PlayStation 5. This was not convenient method of updating the controller.
Sony might be following Microsoft Xbox closely because they had recently allowed users to update their Xbox controllers wirelessly.

Gizchina News of the week

While this may not be the most crucial improvement for the PS5, it brings ease of use to DualSense controllers. Moreover, this patch shows that Sony is actively listening to PlayStation fans and is keen to make changes based on their feedback.

Earlier this year, PlayStation released the 322g DualSense Edge, a new high-end version of the PS5 controller. This version of the controller comes with a steep price, but it is undoubtedly the best version of the PS5 controller that fans can purchase. Right now, there are multiple rumors of Sony launching its next-gen PlayStation 5 Pro in June 2023.

I got the PlayStation back in June since then, I have completed a few titles like Horizon Forbidden West – my personal favorite, God of War, and a few others. I was facing the same problem every time Sony released an update. Do share your experience if you were also annoyed by the need to connect the DualSense controller via a USB cable to the PS5 for updates.
