Apple Is Right: No market for small-screen mobile phones

Apple iPhone 12 mini

After very poor sales with the iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 13 mini, Apple decided to ditch the small-screen mobile phone. The company replaced the small-screen “mini model” with a larger screen “plus model”. At the time, not many brands launch mobile phones with display sizes less than 6 inches. The mini iPhone model display size was just 5.4 inches.  A recent report now confirms that Apple’s decision to ditch the mini model was absolutely right. The report from DSCC reveals the latest screen panel shipment and it shows that the iPhone 14 Plus sales are better than those of the iPhone 13 mini.

The report compares iPhone panel shipment data from June 2022 to April 2023 (estimated data for March-April this year). The panel shipments of the 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Plus are much higher than those of the 5.4-inch iPhone 13 mini. The sales of the Plus model is actually 59% higher. This is quite a lot. According to previous reports, the iPhone 14 Plus is the least popular model in the iPhone 14 series. According to the above report, it can be found that even though the 14 Plus is the least popular model in the 14 series, it still has a higher shipment volume than the iPhone 13 mini. cut.

Gizchina News of the week

It shows that the iPhone 14 series is more popular. As of April this year, iPhone 14 panel shipments are expected to increase by 2% year-on-year. The iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max are the two models that drive the sales of the iPhone 14 series. The iPhone 14 Pro accounts for 28% of panel shipments while the Pro Max model has 36%. While the iPhone 14 has 25% of sales, the iPhone 14 Plus has only 11% of sales.

Editor’s comment on small-screen mobile phones:

In recent times, small-screen mobile phones have lost their grip on phone users. Even in the Android camp, users are not so keen on small mobile phones. In the Android camp, Xiaomi 13 has one of the smallest screens in recent times. Even at that, this device uses a 6.36-inch display. In all honesty, there is no place for a < 6.0-inch display in the mobile phone market

If i remember correctly, Steve Job did say that noones uses and need phone bigger than 5inches. Like he'd vision people's will ignore due to inconvenience, etc. But he's definitely didn't see it put side by side with bigger ones. I guess if he's still around, he'll use the biggest one now

At first, it seemed real, it worked twice. I didn’t realize they set up a bot (robot) that will completely shut down my account after i have decided to invest a higher amount. So I couldn’t access my crypto account anymore. I contacted customer service and they told me about an unending website upgrade.
