The two parties were supposed to agree on a new deal in order to continue their partnership. However, a deal could not come to fruition, leading to the sad breakup.

With the partnership now broken, FIFA will have to look for a new partner. Sources claim that the world football governing body is working on its own in-house soccer video game. EA on the other hand does not have much of a problem since it is the rightful owner of the game. All it had to do was to ditch the FIFA name and look for a new name.
