Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro monstrous battery offers over 45 days of standby time

Over the past few weeks, there have been several reports about the Xiaomi Pad 6 series. After official confirmation that this tablet series will launch on April 18th, it is also official that it will have two models, Xiaomi Pad 6 and Pad 6 Pro. These devices will both use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 and Snapdragon 8+ chips respectively.

In terms of battery life, the Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro will use a huge 8600 mAh battery. This device is the first tablet to introduce a deep sleep mode and boasts of 67W rapid charging. The tablet standby time can be as long as 47.9 days, which is a novel function that is most useful. In addition, this tablet will also come with a higher-resolution screen and a metal body. Also, a USB 3.0 have been added to the regular edition of the Xiaomi Pad 6 series. The Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro has been enhanced with a top Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. It also has decent front- and back-facing cameras, fingerprint recognition, and other specs.

The starting price of the Xiaomi Pad 6 series will be more than that of the Xiaomi Pad 5 series. For reference, the Xiaomi Pad 5 starts at 1,999 yuan ($292), while the Pad 5 Pro starts at 2,499 yuan ($365).

The Xiaomi Pad 6 series will also come with flagship screens to meet the needs of the market. The new tablet will have a delicate display thanks to its 2.8K LCD screen. This screen enables a high refresh rate of 144Hz and offers 309PPI. This screen also offers hardware-level low blue light eye protection, double eye protection certification, multi-screen with the same colour, and CIE 2015 curve calibration.

The new tablet’s back camera module shares a lot of similarities with the Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro 12.4 in terms of look and design. It features the Xiaomi 12 series’ iconic matrix dividing line. The centre frame still appears to be made of metal with right-angled edges.
