Chinese mobile phone brand, iQOO will hold a new product launch event in May. At this event, the company will officially release the iQOO Neo8 series. At present, the iQOO Neo8 series has gotten a few certs. From these listings, this series will have two models at launch, iQOO Neo8 and iQOO Neo8 Pro. Among them, iQOO Neo8 will come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 SoC and supports 120W fast charging. However, the iQOO Neo8 Pro has stronger performance and it upgrades to the MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ SoC. In fact, this device will be the first in the world to use the Dimensity 9200+ SoC.
In addition, the iQOO Neo8 series uses a 1.5K direct screen. The mobile phones will come with up to 16GB of RAM, LPDDR5X specs and 512GB internal storage. This series will also come with the Android 13 system out of the box.
iQOO Ne08 Dimesity 9200+ breaks AnTuTu and GeekBench
AnTuTu’s official Weibo handle posted the running score result of a new obviously flagship mobile chip. The device comes with the code name “V2302A”. The device uses the Dimensity 9200 SoC and the running score exceeds 1.36 million. This makes this chip the new performance “king” for Android mobile phones.
The total score measured by AnTuTu is close to 1.37 million. The actual score is 1,368,597 points. This has set a new record in the Android camp and is around 70,000 points higher than the previous generation Dimensity 9200. The CPU part scored 298,850 points, the GPU part has 594,203 points, the MEM part 263,503 points, and the UX part scored 212,041 points. In all aspects, MediaTek did upgrade the chip. It also has an overall edge over the 2nd Gen. Snapdragon 8 chip.

Under the new test standard of Geekbench 6, Dimensity 9200+ has a single-core score of 2121 points and a multi-core score of 5655 points. With this score, this chip easily becomes the most powerful CPU for Android. In addition, the core frequency of this SoC hit 3.0GHz, which is one of the reasons for its strong performance.
There are reports that the Dimensity 9200+ will support a 3.35GHz Cortex-X3 super core, three 3.0GHz A175 cores, and four A510 small cores, forming an 8-core architecture. The GPU is still the core of ARM Immortalis-G715MC11. The iQOO Neo 8 Pro which will be the first phone to use this chip has obtained the Chinese network access license.
iQOO Neo8 Series rumours
The iQOO Neo 8 series is expected to launch in May and will include two premium smartphones, the Neo 8 and the Neo 8 Pro. The Neo 8 Pro is rumoured to feature a 6.78-inch display with a resolution of 2800 x 1260 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. The display is said to be a BOE Q9 panel, which is also available on the Vivo X90 series. The Neo 8 series is tipped to arrive with up to 16GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
The Neo 8 Pro will be powered by a new Dimensity 9200+ chipset, which will have an overclocked CPU and GPU compared to the original Dimensity 9200. This series is also rumoured to have a 1.5K display and a 50-megapixel primary rear camera. The iQOO Neo 8 Pro is expected to have a 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast wired charging. Another Neo 8 model is also expected to launch, one with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1
The iQOO Neo 8 series is expected to have a 50-megapixel primary rear camera. The iQOO Neo 8 Pro is rumoured to have a triple rear camera setup with a 50MP main camera along with an additional ultrawide camera and a telephoto camera. The front camera of the iQOO Neo 8 is expected to be a 16-megapixel shooter. At the moment, there is no official information about this series.
