vivo Y27s Debuts with 5000mAh Battery, 50MP Primary Camera, and More

Vivo Y27s

vivo has launched a brand-new device, the vivo Y27s. It will be joining the Y-series smartphones, which are generally mid-range devices that aim to offer high overall value.

Just like some of the other recent Y-series devices, the vivo Y27s come with great mid-range specs. And while the device looks pretty similar to the Y27 5G, it has some key differences.

Main Highlights of vivo Y27s

On the front, the vivo Y27s has a 6.64-inch IPS screen. It features an FHD+ resolution, which should offer crisp and detailed visuals. While the screen is similar to the Y27 5G in terms of resolution and size, the screen on the Y27s has support for a 90Hz refresh rate. Also, it comes with a punch hole cutout instead of a waterdrop notch.

In the punch hole cutout, the vivo Y27s houses an 8MP selfie shooter. As the screen is not OLED, the device comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner instead of an in-display sensor. The scanner on the Y27s is embedded into its power button.

Under the hood, the vivo Y27s boasts a Snapdragon 680 chipset. It’s a popular mid-range SoC that can deliver good overall performance across the board. vivo paired that up with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of onboard storage. There’s an option to expand the storage further with the dedicated microSD card slot.

On the back, the vivo Y27s has a 50MP camera with a 2MP depth sensor, which matches the camera config of the Y27 5G and regular Y27. But unlike the other two devices, the new Y-series smartphone comes with an IP54 rating. This makes the smartphone more capable of withstanding challenging conditions.
