OnePlus 12R Spotted at the FCC Ahead of January 23 Launch

OnePlus recently introduced the OnePlus Ace 3 in China and will release its global variant soon under the OnePlus 12R moniker. The OnePlus 12R will launch alongside the global OnePlus 12 on January 23. Ahead of the announcement, the OnePlus 12R passed the FCC certification which hints at its imminent launch.

The FCC certification comes with a couple of photos showing the smartphone and some details. For example, the listing describes the OnePlus 12R with model number CPH2611. The listing also confirms it is running Android 14 with OxygenOS V14.0, and the presence of a huge 5,500 mA battery inside.

The FCC listing confirms the phone with a circular camera array and three shooters. No surprises here, as the phone bears the exact design of the OnePlus Ace 3. Thanks to this fact, we can also determine the rest of the smartphone’s specifications.

OnePlus 12R Alleged Specifications

The OnePlus 12R will come with a 6.78-inch LTPO4 OLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate. In terms of resolution, it’s a 2,778 x 1,240 pixels display with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 coating. The handset sports a bezel-less design with a punch-hole camera at the top center.

Under the hood, the OnePlus 12R is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. The last year’s flagship SoC can still handle anything on Google Play Store easily from common apps to heavy gaming. It will be paired with up to 16 GB of RAM and up to 1 TB of Internal Storage.

In terms of optics, the handset has a triple-camera setup. There is a 50 MP f/1.8 main camera with Optical Image Stabilization, an 8 MP ultrawide snapper, and a 2 MP f/2.4 macro snapper. For selfies and video calls the device has a 16 MP shooter.

The OnePlus 12R will come with stereo speakers, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, IR Blaster, and a USB Type-C 2.0 port. The handset has an under-display fingerprint scanner and draws power from a 5,500 mAh battery complete with 100W charging.
