Moto E14 is Coming Soon with 5,000 mAh battery

Motorola unveiled the Moto E14 in January 2023, and the device went on sale the month after. Considering the usual yearly schedule for the Moto E-series, we can say that the Moto E14 is a bit behind schedule. That’s our perspective, but perhaps, everything is going according to Motorola’s plan. In any case, the Moto E14 is finally taking its first steps before release. The device started the walk across the needed certifications ahead of its release.

Moto E14 Passes by TDRA and TUV Certifications

Today, the Moto E14 was spotted in the TDRA database in the UAE. The listing confirms the smartphone’s name and the model number. The Moto E14 will bear the XT2421-14 model number. Interestingly, a phone with this model number passed by the TUV Rheinland with a 4,880 mAh battery. This will likely be marketed as a typical battery capacity of 5,000 mAh. The phone offers support for 10W, 15W, and 20W charging adapters. Although the phone will support up to 20W charging, this does not indicate a charger with such capacity will be included in the retail packaging.

The Moto E13

Unfortunately, there are not many details about the Moto E14. The certifications have just started, and we expect the device to go through more “revealing” steps in the coming weeks. We expect to hear more about the new mid-range smartphone in the coming weeks. For comparison, the Moto E13 from last year had a 1,600 x 720 LCD screen, Unisoc T606 SoC, up to 8 GB of RAM, and 128 GB of Expandable storage. The phone also had a 5,000 mAh battery capacity which is common for devices in this category. The E13 had just 10W charging, so the E14 already brings an upgrade in this aspect.

The Moto E14 will likely keep the basic specifications at an affordable price. Hopefully, we’ll see upgrades in the performance with an improved chipset, and perhaps a better display. For now, we need to wait for more details.
