In addition to the cutting-edge hardware, the new lineup will debut with ColorOS 15. It’s Oppo’s custom interface that runs above Android 15. It promises a refined and feature-packed software experience tailored to enhance user interactions.
The announcement follows MediaTek’s official reveal of the Dimensity 9400 chipset. Although Oppo hasn’t provided further specifics about the Find X8 lineup, speculation suggests that it will include three models for the first time: the standard, Pro, and Ultra versions. While the standard and Pro are expected to feature the new Dimensity 9400, the Ultra model may either use this chip or potentially come equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4.
Oppo also introduced ColorOS 15, emphasizing a three-layered interface to enhance overall efficiency, fluidity, and performance. This revamped interface will be featured across the entire Find X8 series and on the Chinese variants of the OnePlus 13. During the demo, ColorOS 15 was showcased with an exceptionally smooth and responsive UI, highlighting the improvements in user experience.
With just 15 days remaining until the official launch, we can expect more information to surface about the Find X8 series.
About the Dimensity 9400
MediaTek’s new Dimensity 9400 chipset, built on TSMC’s 3nm process, delivers significant efficiency and performance improvements. It has a strong focus on generative AI capabilities. The chip’s architecture consists of a powerful mix of Cortex cores. It includes one Cortex-X925, three Cortex-X4s, and four Cortex-A720s. It leads to a 40% increase in power efficiency and faster single and multi-thread performance. LPDDR5X memory support further enhances the chip’s speed, allowing up to 10.7GB/s data transfer.
The Dimensity 9400 also features the Immortalis-G925 GPU. It brings a 41% boost in peak performance and improved raytracing, alongside MediaTek’s 8th-gen NPU for advanced AI tasks. With AI integration like Google’s Gemini Nano, this chipset is expected to lead the way for enhanced AI processing on Android devices. However, we still need to wait for real-world testing.
