Samsung has officially started rolling out the Android 15-based One UI 7 stable update to the Galaxy A05s, an entry-level smartphone launched in September 2023. Though it’s not the most premium device in Samsung’s lineup, the A05s is now joining a growing list of Galaxy phones receiving the latest One UI version.
Samsung starts its rollout in Vietnam and Thailand
The One UI 7 stable update for the Galaxy A05s has started seeding in Vietnam and Thailand. It comes with the firmware version A057FXXU9DYE5 and includes the May 2025 Android security patch, making the phone more secure. The update is about 2.66GB in size, so users are advised to connect to a Wi-Fi network before downloading it.
To manually check for the update, users can go to Settings > Software update > Download and install on their Galaxy A05s.
What’s New in One UI 7?
The One UI 7 update comes with some upgrades. Every Samsung device, including the Galaxy A05s, has a new user interface, thanks to One UI 7.
A significant UI redesign is included in the update, which features cleaner overall design, improved transitions, and smoother animations.
The update also comes with new features and visual improvements which is now active on all Samsung core apps for better user experience

Strong Software Support for a Budget Phone
Despite being an entry-level phone, the Galaxy A05s has received consistent updates from Samsung. It originally shipped with Android 13, was updated to Android 14 / One UI 6.0 in February 2024, and got One UI 6.1 in June 2024.
Even with this update, the A05s still has two Android OS updates before its end of support. Later in 2025, One UI 8.0, which is based on Android 16, is anticipated to be the significant update. The One UI 7 update is currently being released gradually, beginning with a few Asian markets.

Although the Galaxy A05s is scheduled for June, the company appears to have released it a few days early. This update reaffirms Samsung’s dedication to extended software support, even for low-end devices.
