The Pro4 action camera does 4K for $65, but there’s a catch

There are companies that go for the kill and then there are some that go for the spec sheet. Makers of the new Pro4 camera seem to be from the latter.

The action camera comes with a 4 mega-pixel sensor which allows the camera to shoot video and take pictures in various resolutions. This includes video of 4K, but with a framerate of just 15fps.

On some cameras, 4K video is achieved by stitching together photos real quick — which takes up processing power thus reducing the framerate.

Coming back, other video resolutions the camera is capable of shooting in include: 2.7K at 30fps, 2K at 30fps, 1080p at 60 / 30fps, 720P at 120 / 60 / 30fps, VGA at 30fps.

As for photos, you can take the pics in: 20MP, 12MP, 8MP, 5MP, 3MP, 2MP, 1.2MP, VGA.

Coming back to the price, it is a meagre $65 shipped. That isnt it, the camera also includes a 2 inch screen on the back, which the other Pro 4 camera (from a much more popular manufacturer) doesn’t have!

Sometimes you wonder why manufacturers make moves like this. Why?
