MGCOOL have recently launched the Explorer Pro, a low cost action cam that can record 4K videos at 30fps and features Sharkeye lens technology to reduce video distortion. Now we can actually have a first look at the final product and it’s packaging. Let’s check it out in this video released from the Chinese company.
The video begins with the sentence “Explorer a different world”, which is what the company wishes you to do with their new camera. Other than that we’ve a minimal black packaging with the camera placed on top. Below it we find all the kind of accessories, mounting brackets, USB cables and an user manual.
In the video they also show how to get the camera out of the waterproof case it comes with, just in the event you weren’t sure on how to do it. They then turn on the MGCOOL Explorer Pro to show us all the various settings and menus.
The guys over at MGCOOL also demonstrate how to sync the Explorer Pro with your smartphone and what you can do through the app, i.e. changing resolution, frame rate and so on.
For those who aren’t informed on the camera hardware, the MGCOOL Explorer features a 2-inch display, an Allwinner V3 processor, a Sony IMX179 image sensor, 6G “Sharkeye” 170-degree wide angle lens and is expandable up to 64GB through microSD. This action cam is equipped with a 1050mAh capacity battery that allows you to record 4K videos at 30fps for about 100 minutes, meanwhile images have a max resolution of 16MP.
MGCOOL partnered up with different online retailers like Gearbest, Banggood, Geekbuying, coolicool and more in order to sell the new MGCOOL Explorer Pro globally from May 11th to May 31st for just $39.99. After that day, it will go back up to full retail price, so hurry up if you’re in need of a cheap action cam. Visit MGCOOL’s official website or Facebook page to learn more about their products.
