Bluboo S1 official global presale is finally here and on July 10th we would have the first chance to pre-order the phone exclusively on Gearbest. And we get to know the price now too, which is a bit higher than expected. For the presale week from July 10th to July 17th you will be able to buy it for $159.99 and the retail level later on is a bit tough $209.99.
But it’s the brand’s major product for 2017 so it makes sense a bit. The phone adopts the full display and tri-bezel-less design with some solid midrange hardware inside. That includes 5,5-inch FullHD display with Corning Gorill Glass 4, Helio P25 processor, dual rear cameras (16MP + 3MP) and 3500 mAh battery. For better idea about the phone and the features check out the video below.
There will be also some promised promos for the buyers. Probably the most exciting one is the snap up event starting every day at UTC 9:00 from July 10th and for 5 straight days you will get the chance to get the phone for only $79.99. Then comes the already announced promo for the Dacom Bluetooth headset as an add-on for $9.99, but it’s limited to only 450 pieces.
Last comes the chance to win a free gift (one Bluboo S1 phone, 50 Dacom headsets and lucky coupon) automatically if your order total is over $150 and you share the activity with a friend. You can find all the details about the global presale on the Gearbest website.

This phone is 74.3 mm wide, only about a millimetre narrower than the average 5.5 inch phone with full bezels. Much cheaper than the Samsung Galaxy S8 but it is only 68.1 mm wide. I don’t see any advantage in coming up with a bezel-free phone if it isn’t significantly less wide than the average 5.5 inch phone. The whole point is to offer a large display in a body that is narrow enough to be easy to use one-handed. Otherwise, the phone may look nice but not offer any functional advantage. So, despite the lower price, I would not buy this Bluboo phone, nor the Doogee Mix either which is also way too wide.
Whast the point in narrower screen which offers less area?
Next we’ll have 30:9 screen ration 😛
Will it be available for India?
The snap-up event @ $79.99 didn’t happen today.
Smells like fake promises from GearBest…
Nope didn’t see it either grrrr
Such a bezelless phone with the specs it have and if could give helio X30 processor a price of $299 could have been accepted with Global LTE both TDD & FDD. Helio X30 gives two sim to simultaneously operate as 4G which is till date not contained in any other chipset. Mediatek helio X30 is my dream processor but I can’t get a hand to one.
