Samsung Mobile has announced the availability of the Samsung Galaxy J2 (2018) in the Indian market. The device will be available in the country from April 27th offline through various retailers and online through Samsung online store.

Samsung is offering the device at a starting price of Rs. 8,190 , while Jio customers are entitled to an instant cashback of Rs.2750 vouchers in their MyJio account on recharging with Rs 198 or Rs 299 plan, in addition to getting an extra 10GB of 4G data on every recharge for the next 10 recharges.

It is worth mentioning that the Galaxy J2 (2018) comes preloaded with Samsung Mall that’s makes your shopping experience easier by clicking a picture of the desired product and automatically getting results for the item across popular e-commerce platforms. It also highlights Samsung’s proprietary ‘Move to Memory Card’ advanced memory management solution that de-clutters the internal memory, thereby enhancing the smartphone experience.”

Made entirely of polycarbonate finish, the Samsung Galaxy J2 (2018) has a simple and a familiar design with a single rear camera with LED flash but lacks the fingerprint sensor.  It, however, houses a home button flanked by capacitive touch buttons on either side just below the display.

 

Powered by a 2600mAh battery, the Galaxy J2 (2018)  flaunts a compact 5-inch Super AMOLED display with a qHD 540 x 960 pixels resolution and powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor mated to an Adreno 308 GPU, 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable internal storage.

Elsewhere, the Samsung Galaxy J2 (2018) comes fitted with an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP selfie camera with LED flash. Other specs include Android 7.1 Nougat OS, dual SIM support with standard connectivity options including 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.1.

It is available in Gold, Black, and Pink color options. Outside of India, the Samsung Galaxy J2 (2018) is also available in Russia and should make it to other countries in the following months.
