Samsung’s ever-elusive foldable phone is expected to be unleashed next year at MWC 2019, a report has stated. The novel bendable phone which has earlier been thought to launch this year will actually go into production in November 2018. Because of the high interest around the foldable phone, Samsung will push the Galaxy S10 to January, The Bell report coming from South Korea states. This would ensure Samsung’s S10 flagship doesn’t go unnoticed on its 10th Anniversary.
Samsung’s Galaxy S9 was also pushed up a month this year and launched at MWC 2018. According to the publication, Samsung has instructed its component partners to start supplying their components for the foldable phone in November. The company is gunning for a February 2019 release of the highly anticipated phone dubbed Galaxy X. The project codename for the foldable phone has also now changed from ‘Valley’ to ‘Winner’ which indicates it is out of the testing phase.

On the other hand, Galaxy S10 production is due to start in October this year. Hence, it seems likely that Samsung might choose the CES 2019 stage for the Galaxy S10 debut. CES 2019 is slated to kick off on January 8. Though the report seems logical on paper, it is way too early to say anything about the Galaxy S10. Hence, take this report with a hint of scepticism.
