Apple rolls out iOS 13 with new Memoji, Dark Mode and Face ID improvements

iOS 13

After announcing the next major update for its mobile Operating System back in June at WWDC Apple is finally releasing it the public. The new version carries the “iOS 13” moniker and includes a new system-wide Dark Mode, a revamped Memoji mode with more customizations features, and Apple Arcade. The new version also introduces Maps and Photos apps and adds swipe typing to the iOS keyboard. In addition, the new update makes Face ID 30% faster.

If Apple users will still have to deal with the wide notch for one more year, nothing better than an update to improve its usage. Furthermore, iOS 13 gets a Dark Mode which you can enable whenever you get tired of Apple’s usual white Interface. The Dark Mode isn’t necessarily going to be true black in all apps, but still, it should be compatible with all system apps. Moreover, third-party developers can integrate it into their apps. You can also set it to turn on at sunset or certain time. Last but not least, Dark Mode will extend the battery of the iPhones equipped with OLED screens.

The iOS 13 is compatible with a total of 15 devices, which include:

  • iPhone 11
  • 11 Pro
  • 11 Pro Max
  • XS
  • XS Max
  • XR
  • X
  • iPhone 8
  • 8 Plus
  • iPhone 7
  • 7 Plus
  • 6s
  • 6s Plus
  • iPhone SE
  • iPod touch (7th gen)

Interesting enough, there’s an iOS 13.1 update scheduled for September 24. So there’s a high chance that some users will skip iOS 13 for the next update that is coming in just a few days.
