Among the top 5 smartphone manufacturer in the world, only Huawei and Samsung has foldable devices. There is still a huge bottleneck in the manufacturing process of a foldable smartphone. This is why till now, we have only a handful of foldable phones in the market. Nevertheless, Huawei has two foldable phones in its shelf – Huawei Mate X and Huawei Mate Xs. While the Mate X arrived in February 2019, the Mate Xs hit the shelf a year later. Now, the Chinese manufacturer has released the stable version of its latest update for these smartphones.
According to Huawei EMUI news, Huawei Mate Xs and Mate X are now receiving the stable EMUI 10.1 update. To get this update, Open [Services] App – Service – Upgrade. Recall that the Huawei Mate Xs hit the market in March this year with a 16,999 yuan ($2,428) price tag.
One of the main highlights of EMUI 10.1 is micro stereo AOD. This feature adds a 3D visual sense of front and rear stereo depth of field to the lenses. In addition, this update also includes a smart split-screen. With this split-screen feature, users can slide inwards from both sides of the screen. It can also activate the side application bar. Simply long-press and drag the application to open the split-screen. This feature also supports dragging between two applications, including pictures and text.
