HarmonyOS Android iOS

There have been reports on the Huawei P60 series which should officially launch in the coming months. According to recent reports, the Huawei P60 series should come with a new version of Huawei’s system, HarmonyOS. In fact, many Huawei fans are very curious about the new system. A recent report from a tech blogger claims that HarmonyOS 3.1 is already in internal testing. The report claims that the new update mainly fixes existing bugs and improves system stability. Also, the new version 3.0 will not have a major OTA push for the time being.

Prior to this, a report by Strategy Analytics shows that mobile phones with the HarmonyOS system currently have a global market share of 2%. As little as this may sound, it is a huge win for Huawei because it is now the third-largest mobile phone system in the world behind only Android and iOS.

HarmonyOS is far behind Android and iOS

In the current global market, Android is still the most used, with a current market share of 81%; followed by iOS, with a market share of 18%. The two account for 99% of the mobile phone market share, which is still very exaggerated. For some reason, HarmonyOS’s market share is 2% at this time, and the total share exceeds 100%. Compared with 2017, the market share of Android has declined. In 2017, Android had a market share of 86%, compared with 14% for iOS. Five years later, Android is down 5% and iOS is up 4%.

HarmonyOS

Not long ago, Wang Chenglu, CEO of Shenzhen Kaihong Digital Industry Development Co., Ltd., delivered a keynote speech and reiterated that HarmonyOS is not Android, iOS, or a single-device operating system. If a single device uses HarmonyOS, it will not have much value.
