Google Pixel Users Report Problems After Installing Android 16

Google officially launched the Android 16 update on its Pixel devices. While most of the users were eagerly waiting for the new update, it hasn’t been an easy ride for everyone. Some Pixel users are now reporting critical problems after the update was installed. The problems are making their phones difficult, or even impossible, to use efficiently.

Android 16 Update Causes Critical Problems for Some Google Pixel Users

One of the most frequent complaints is that of navigation on the phone. Ever since the software was upgraded to Android 16, navigation gestures have been discovered to not work properly. Navigation gestures include swiping left or upwards in order to switch between apps or go home. Other people also complain of the bottom navigation buttons slowing down or not responding.

Smooth navigation is essential to the needs of most smartphone users. Without it, application opening, home screen return, and window switching are annoying. What initially may appear as a small problem is actually a serious one. It interferes with day-to-day usage of the phone and makes the entire experience feel broken.

Android 16 Glitch Makes Pixel Phones Hard to Use

According to many posts on Reddit and X (formerly Twitter), navigation problems may happen repeatedly throughout the day. Users say their Pixel phones sometimes get “stuck” when they try swiping or tapping. The screen won’t respond right away, or it freezes for a short while before continuing to work. The bug seems to affect gesture navigation and classic navigation buttons both.

It’s worth noting that not everybody who owns a Pixel is having the problem. Some report that their phones are working flawlessly after the Android 16 update. But more and more people are complaining, which suggests that this is a popular issue. It seems to be impacting a high percentage of Pixel users.
