ASUS has started taking
pre-orders for a new high-end
router called the ROG Magic Box X. It’s built for gamers and power users who
want fast, stable internet across their entire home. With support for the
latest Wi-Fi 7 standard and a bold gaming look, the router is aimed at people
who don’t want to deal with lag or slowdowns. In China, it’s priced at 2,199
RMB.
Wi-Fi 7 Brings Faster Speeds
The ROG Magic Box X runs on
Wi-Fi 7, which is a big step up
from older Wi-Fi standards. On the 5GHz band, it can reach speeds of up to
5,764Mbps. When both the 5GHz and 2.4GHz bands work together using Multi-Link
Operation, total speeds can go as high as 7,200Mbps.
The router also supports 4K QAM technology. In simple
terms, this lets it send more data in the same amount of time. Wi-Fi 6 does not come with this tech. This is an advantage for users of this device. It will do a couple of things. It will be more efficient and smoother. You will notice this more when many devices are connected at the same time.
It will also make it possible to stream, game, and download simultaneously. You don't find this kind of capacity in everyday devices.
Hardware Built to Handle Heavy Use
Inside, the Magic Box X uses a 1.8GHz processor along with
1GB of DDR4 memory. This setup helps the router manage fast speeds and lots of
connected devices without slowing down. ASUS also added MediaTek’s Filogic AI
system.
This AI feature quietly monitors your Wi-Fi and makes smart
tweaks to avoid interference and keep latency low, giving gamers smoother
gameplay with fewer lag spikes during online matches.
Gaming Style and Plenty of Ports
The router looks every bit like a gaming product. It has
sharp lines and an aggressive design, with the ROG “Eye of the Republic” logo
on the front. The logo supports ARGB lighting, so users can customise how it
looks. Inside the body, eight antennas are placed at different angles to help
spread the signal evenly around the house.
On the back, ASUS includes a wide range of ports. There’s a
10Gbps WAN port for very fast internet plans, a 2.5Gbps gaming port for
priority devices, and four standard Gigabit LAN ports. It also supports LAN
aggregation for faster wired connections.
Gaming Features and Availability
The Magic Box X can detect other ROG devices on the network
and automatically give them priority, cutting lag by up to 47%. It also
includes optimisations for mobile and console gaming.
The ASUS ROG Magic Box X is now available for pre-order on
JD.com. It offers gamers a future-ready router built for speed, stability, and
style.
