Xiaomi’s Black Shark brand is back with a new bet on the gaming range! The Black Shark Gaming Tablet is now officially available globally. The device was previously teased and later listed on the brand’s website with full specifications, but without clear pricing or release details. It has now quietly gone on sale through the official Black Shark store on AliExpress, with worldwide shipping options.

Black Shark Gaming Table - Compact Design, Strong Hardware

The Black Shark Gaming Tablet adopts a compact 8.8-inch form factor aimed directly at gamers who prefer a smaller, more portable device. It weighs 332 grams and measures just 7.7 mm thick, making it relatively light for a performance-oriented tablet. Its chassis is built from aerospace-grade aluminum alloy with laser-finished accents, and it is offered in two color options: black and silver.

Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 Powers the Experience

Under the hood, the tablet runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, featuring an octa-core CPU clocked up to 3.0 GHz alongside a 40 TOPS NPU for AI tasks. According to Black Shark, the device can surpass 1.9 million points in AnTuTu benchmarks, placing it firmly in flagship territory for gaming performance.

It ships with Android 16 out of the box and comes equipped with 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256 GB of UFS 4.0 storage. Users can also expand storage by up to 2 TB via a TF card, which is a rare addition, but makes perfect sense on a gaming-oriented device. While Android native games have some limitations in what you can do with external storage, this is a great addition for the emulation scene. And this device is obviously a powerhouse for playing emulators.

High-Refresh 2.5K Display for Gaming

The tablet features a 2.5K display with a resolution of 2560 × 1600 pixels and a 144 Hz refresh rate, ensuring smooth visuals during fast-paced gameplay. The panel offers a pixel density of 343 PPI, peak brightness of up to 600 nits, and support for the DCI-P3 color gamut. Black Shark also notes that the screen is factory calibrated with ΔE < 1 color accuracy, targeting both gamers and content consumers who value visual precision.

Advanced Cooling System with Optional Magnetic Cooler

Thermal management is handled through a large vapor chamber, multiple graphene layers, and a metal cooling structure, covering a total thermal material area of 25,176 mm².
For users who push the device under heavy gaming loads, an optional magnetic external cooler is also available to further stabilize temperatures during sustained performance sessions.

Connectivity, Audio, and Battery

On the connectivity side, the tablet supports dual-band Wi-Fi 6 with 2×2 MIMO, Bluetooth 5.4, and DisplayPort output with 4K video support. Audio is delivered through symmetrical dual speakers paired with a K9 smart amplifier for louder and more balanced sound.
The device packs a 7,300 mAh battery, with rated endurance of up to 5.6 hours of gaming, 10.3 hours of web browsing, 7 hours of video playback, and up to 76 hours of music playback. Camera hardware includes a 13 MP rear sensor and a 5 MP front camera for basic photography and video calls.
