CHUWI continues to build its solid portfolio of computers and has unveiled a new generation of compact AI workstations at IFA Berlin 2026. The flagship model is shaping up to be an unusually powerful machine for its size. The new CHUWI UniBox AI495 Pro combines AMD's high-end Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 processor with up to 192GB of unified memory, a 40-core Radeon GPU, and enough memory capacity to target extremely large local AI models.
The company is positioning the UniBox AI495 Pro as an "Agent Computer", reflecting the growing push toward PCs designed not only for conventional computing and gaming, but also for running AI workloads locally.
With only 2.9 liters, the system packs hardware that would traditionally be associated with much larger workstations. CHUWI says the UniBox AI495 Pro can run local large language models with up to 300 billion parameters using 4-bit quantization.

CHUWI UniBox AI495 Pro: A Powerful PC With Flagship Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 Inside

At the heart of the UniBox AI495 Pro is AMD's Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495, based on the Zen 5 architecture. The processor features 16 CPU cores and 32 threads, with boost frequencies reaching up to 5.2GHz.

The processor is part of AMD's Gorgon Halo platform and is designed to combine high-performance CPU processing with a powerful integrated GPU and a large pool of shared memory.
That last point is particularly important here. Unlike a traditional desktop equipped with a discrete graphics card, the UniBox AI495 Pro uses unified memory, allowing the CPU and GPU to access the same high-capacity memory pool.
CHUWI offers configurations with up to 192GB of LPDDR5x-8533 memory, connected through a 256-bit interface and providing up to 273GB/s of memory bandwidth.
The system can also allocate up to 160GB of that unified memory as VRAM, giving the integrated Radeon GPU an unusually large memory pool for a mini PC.

Gaming And Local AI

The UniBox AI495 Pro features a 40-core Radeon 8065S GPU and up to 192GB of shared memory, giving it considerably more graphics memory than a typical integrated GPU. CHUWI claims it can outperform an RTX 4060 in some gaming workloads and deliver smooth 1080p performance in demanding AAA games. The same large memory pool can also benefit rendering, video processing, and other GPU-heavy applications.

The machine's biggest advantage may be its ability to dedicate up to 160GB of its memory to graphics and AI workloads. CHUWI says this allows the UniBox AI495 Pro to run local AI models with up to 300 billion parameters at 4-bit precision, while its AI hardware provides up to 131 TOPS of processing power.
That makes the system particularly interesting for running large AI models locally without relying entirely on cloud services, although real-world performance will depend on the model, software, drivers, and power limits.

Compact X-Frame Design

Despite the hardware inside, the UniBox AI495 Pro remains remarkably compact.

The chassis measures 209.6 × 209.6 × 67mm, resulting in a volume of approximately 2.9 liters.
CHUWI calls the design its X-Frame Signature Aesthetic, giving the machine a distinctive appearance rather than following the conventional rectangular mini-PC formula.
For a system aimed at AI developers, enthusiasts, creators, and workstation users, the compact footprint could be particularly appealing. It offers considerably more memory capacity than most conventional mini PCs without requiring a traditional desktop tower.

Connectivity Includes Dual 10GbE and OCuLink

CHUWI has also equipped the UniBox AI495 Pro with a surprisingly extensive selection of connectivity options.
The system supports Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4, alongside two 10Gbps Ethernet ports. It also includes an OCuLink connection, which opens the door to external high-speed expansion, including compatible external GPU configurations and other PCIe-based devices.

Two USB4 ports are also included, supporting transfer speeds of up to 40Gbps. The system additionally features multiple USB ports and other I/O connections intended to make it suitable as a workstation rather than simply a compact desktop PC.
Storage comes from three M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 x4 slots, with CHUWI listing configurations equipped with a 2TB SSD. Power is supplied through a 240W adapter rated at 20V/12A.

CHUWI UniBox AI395 Is the Second Model

The AI495 Pro isn't the only machine in the new UniBox lineup.
CHUWI is also introducing the UniBox AI395, which uses the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor.
The AI395 retains the same 16-core/32-thread Zen 5 CPU configuration, but with a boost clock of up to 5.1GHz. Its integrated Radeon 8060S GPU features 40 graphics cores running at up to 2.9GHz.
Memory capacity reaches 128GB of LPDDR5x-8000, with up to 96GB available for VRAM allocation. CHUWI lists up to 126 TOPS of overall AI performance and up to 50 TOPS from the NPU.
Interestingly, CHUWI says the AI395 can handle local models of up to 235 billion parameters using MoE and low-bit configurations, putting it well beyond the typical local AI capabilities of mainstream mini PCs.

Pricing and Availability

CHUWI has not yet announced pricing or a release date for the UniBox AI495 Pro or UniBox AI395.
The price will be particularly important here. High-capacity unified memory is one of the main reasons these systems are interesting for local AI, but it can also make them considerably more expensive than conventional mini PCs.
If CHUWI can bring the 192GB UniBox AI495 Pro to market at a competitive price, it could become an intriguing alternative for developers and AI enthusiasts who want to experiment with very large models locally without building a workstation around multiple discrete GPUs.
For now, the combination of Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495, 192GB of unified memory, up to 160GB of VRAM allocation, 40-core RDNA 3.5 graphics, dual 10GbE, OCuLink, and a 2.9-liter chassis makes the UniBox AI495 Pro one of the more ambitious AI-focused mini workstations announced at IFA 2026.
