Is Google Gemini Down? Users Stuck in Endless Loop as AI Tool Fails Again

If you tried to use Google Gemini and got stuck, you are not alone. Many users say the tool loads just fine, but once they send a prompt, it never gives a reply. The screen shows it is still at work, yet no answer ever comes.

The issue began on Friday. At first, it felt like a small glitch. Now it seems far wider. Reports have grown, and many users say the same thing: Gemini opens, but it will not finish even the most basic task.

Users say the main page of Google Gemini works as usual. You can type in your prompt and press send. After that, the tool gets stuck in a loop. It looks like it is still thinking, but the reply never shows.

This has caused real stress for many. Some rely on Gemini for work. Others use it for quick facts or daily tasks. When it fails, it slows down plans and adds to the load of the day.

The site DownDetector also shows a sharp rise in user reports. Many posts there share the same story. The tool stalls at the last step, right when it should give an answer.

So far, Google has not made a clear note on the cause. That leaves room for guesswork. Previously, tools such as this have had issues with high loads, as too many simultaneous logins can cause the system to slow down or freeze.

At times, a back-end update can also cause a fault. If a new change does not run as it should, the tool may lock up in a loop. These types of breaks are not rare in AI tools, but they are still a pain for users.

Most times, such issues get fixed fast. Yet this time, the break has gone on for more than a day.

This seems to be a server-side issue, meaning users cannot do anything to fix the issue. Users cannot clear their cache or reset the application. They can’t switch their device to fix the issue if the system is not functioning.

After a few hours of waiting, the system now seems to be back to normal. A couple of tests show that it now works normally. Google did not issue any statement regarding the cause of the downtime.
