Honor MagicOS 11 Is Here With Liquid Glass Design and Smarter AI - Full list of compatible devices

Honor has officially unveiled MagicOS 11, its new software based on Android 17. The update brings a new Liquid Glass design, more powerful AI tools and several changes to the way Honor phones work.

The visual change is the first thing you will notice. MagicOS 11 uses clear panels, softer effects and smoother animations across the system.

AI is also a much bigger part of the update. Honor has upgraded its Yoyo assistant so it can handle longer tasks instead of simply answering questions.

MagicOS 11 gets a fresh design based on what Honor calls its Luminous architecture. Menus, icons and widgets now use more depth and transparency.

The glass effect can also change as you move around the interface. Honor wants the system to feel more alive instead of using the same flat look everywhere.

Animations have been improved as well. Honor says MagicOS 11 can feel up to 20% smoother than the previous version.

There are also more ways to change the look of the home screen. Users can adjust icon and dock colors, while widgets and menus get a cleaner design.

AI is probably the more important part of MagicOS 11. Honor has upgraded Yoyo so it can do more than respond to simple commands.

The company says Yoyo can now work across more than 1,000 daily situations and connect with over 10,000 third-party AI services. It can also handle tasks that include more than 100 steps.

That sounds more useful than another AI chatbot. Instead of only telling you what to do, Yoyo is designed to complete tasks for you.

For example, it can remember important dates after you buy a ticket or make a booking. It can also set up actions that happen when a certain event takes place.

There is one thing to keep in mind. Many of these services are made for the Chinese market, so global users may not get the full Yoyo experience.

Honor is also adding Storage Space 2.0. The feature uses compression and automatic cleanup to help free space on the phone.

Honor claims that it can save up to 60GB of storage. The real amount will depend on the phone and the data stored on it, so I would not expect every user to get the same result.

Still, it is a useful addition. Photos, videos and apps can fill a phone quickly, especially on models with 256GB or less storage.

MagicOS 11 also improves the way Honor phones connect with other devices.

Honor is expanding file sharing and connection support beyond its own products. The company says the new system can work better with devices from other brands, including Apple, Xiaomi, OPPO and vivo.

Users can also connect two pairs of Bluetooth headphones to one device. That could be useful when watching a movie or listening to music with someone else.

MagicOS 11 will debut with the Honor Magic 9 series. Honor is also preparing beta versions for a number of older phones.

The first devices to get access include models from the Magic 8 series, Magic V6 and Honor 600 series. More phones will follow later.

MagicOS 11 is more than a visual update. The Liquid Glass design gives Honor phones a new look, while Yoyo shows that the company wants AI to play a bigger role in everyday tasks.

The global rollout will be the part worth watching. If Honor brings most of these AI features to international markets, MagicOS 11 could be a much bigger step for the company.
