The design starts with the familiar black-and-red combination associated with Tonino Lamborghini. But the interesting part is how TECNO has used those colors. At the center of the rear panel sits the Pulse Line, a visual element designed to suggest energy and movement. Around it is the Signature Shield pattern, inspired by the brand's shield and mechanical geometry.
The metallic Tonino Lamborghini logo sits toward the lower-right corner. It is integrated into the composition rather than being placed there as a badge. TECNO also looked at details found across mechanical products, including cooling grilles, honeycomb structures, and exhaust-inspired shapes. These elements were then adapted to the smaller scale of a smartphone.
The Rear Panel Uses Multiple Layers
Getting the design right was only part of the challenge. TECNO says the POVA 8 Pro 5G Tonino Lamborghini Edition uses an exclusive dual-layer rear-cover process to create more depth and reflections. The first layer uses a brightness-enhancing treatment to give the surface a deeper appearance. The second layer uses specially processed internal mirror structures. As the viewing angle changes, hidden red elements can appear through the predominantly black finish.
There is also a physical height difference between material layers. This helps create a three-dimensional effect that resembles the layered construction of mechanical components and grilles. According to TECNO, the manufacturing process required repeated adjustments to the coating, ink, and processing methods to maintain consistency between production units. The company says the work went through months of refinement and multiple rounds of collaboration with Tonino Lamborghini.

TECNO did not stop at the hardware. The company also customized parts of the software experience around the Tonino Lamborghini identity. The shield becomes the main visual element, while system icons use the black-and-red color scheme and a glass-like appearance. Some icons also get sharper, more geometric outlines, moving away from the softer shapes normally found in smartphone interfaces.
TECNO says it spent almost four months developing the customized system experience. That includes dynamic wallpapers, ringtones and a customized version of the Alive Matrix Display, featuring the signature "L" effect. The same approach extends to the box and accessories. The package includes a black-and-red braided cable, a customized charger, and a protective case designed specifically for the edition.
The case combines TPU and PC materials, with a carved central section that creates a Kevlar-inspired carbon-fiber texture. It follows the same mechanical theme instead of looking like a generic case thrown into a box.
