More
video updates from
Mobile World Congress this morning. We kick off the
hands on videos with a look at the all new
Huawei Meidapad
X1.
We have already seen the
Huawei Mediapad M1 in action, not it is the time for the smaller, but better spec’d sibling.
Huawei will be launching two versions of the Mediapad
X1 a basic version with WIFI and a version with
4G LTE.
Both
tablet versions have a 7-inch 1920 x 1080 display, Android 4.2 (the M1 has 4.4), 1.6Ghz Hisilicon quad-core processor, Mali450 GPU,
2GB RAM and 5000mAh battery. The
X1 also benefits from better camera hardware with a very respectable 13 mega-pixel f2.2 on the rear and 5 mega-pixel on the front. Storage should also be fine too with 16GB of internal memory along with the option to add more with an SD card.
Hands on with the Huawei Mediapad X1
First impressions of the Huawei Mediapad X1
The 7-inch device is great in the hand with a very strong, great feeling metal body. The quad-core processor and Mali 450GPU offer good performance and should be enough for most users, and 2GB RAM means multi-tasking is handled well too.
This is certainly a
Huawei device I would be interested in owning and the good
news is there will be availability in China and Europe.
