The Huawei Mate 30 Pro appears in a photo with a pure version of Android

There are many rumors that are emerging about the new Huawei Mate 30 and its possible arrival without Google services or applications. Recently, the CEO of the company revealed that HarmonyOS is not ready to launch on smartphones, but you know that Huawei has another solution that we have already talked about. Android Open Source Project (AOSP) is an open-source version of android free from Google services and can be obtained by all companies without a license.

Today, a photograph of a Huawei Mate 30 running Android Stock has been leaked, that is, an AOSP ROM. It is easily recognizable by the appearance of its interface and also by the Google widget it displays.

If the US does not allow Google to collaborate with Huawei, the company only has the AOSP trick. This version is open source and therefore can be used by any manufacturer or user to develop their own Android. This is what Huawei could do with the new devices, which would arrive without Google applications or services.

All manufacturers test all types of versions on their devices before launching them to the market. But we have never seen such a leak before. A Huawei running a version of Android Stock is something that many users have dreamed of, but that probably won't happen. Huawei will use AOSP on its terminals and implement the EMUI 10 customization layer above.

In this way, the interface could be practically identical to that of other previous Huawei, but without Google in between. This is worrying for the average user and not so much for the more advanced. Installing Google Play, Gmail or Google Maps is something simple. But not so much to have an operating system that revolves around Google.

If Huawei launches its Mate 30 with AOSP these will not revolve around Google, but around Huawei. To get an idea, at the time of starting the device you will not see anything related to Google. But you must create, most surely, an account in a Huawei service to be able to have everything safely.

At the moment we do not know what will happen, but seeing the leaked image, everything indicates that Huawei has been testing Android AOSP without Google services in the Huawei Mate 30.
