iQOO is gearing up to launch a new flagship this month in the form of
iQOO 15. The device will finally hit the shelves this month and is expected to be one of the next
Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 flagship smartphones. We don't know much about this device just yet, but iQOO is
slowly sharing some tidbits about it. Today, the company has just
confirmed it will boast IP68 and IP69 ratings.
iQOO 15: More Features Have Been Confirmed
The
iQOO 15 is the next cost-effective flagship to embrace IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water protection. It will ensure the device is ready even for extreme circumstances.
The
iQOO 15 will also come with a new generation ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. It will be faster than the one seen in the iQOO 13, the first to come with this tech. The handset will also sport a USB-C port with support for the USB 3.2 protocol. This means faster data transfers as long as you're attaching it to compatible hardware.
Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, QHD AMOLED Screen, and More
As we've said before, the
iQOO 15 will sport the
Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC. We expect up to 16 GB of RAM and even 1 TB of Internal Storage. The device will come with a 6.85-inch QHD Samsung-made AMOLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate and 2,600-nit peak brightness. As per the rumors in China, the iQOO 15 will go official in the country on October 15. That date, for sure, wasn't taken as a mere coincidence.
The device will hit other markets like India shortly after this release. We don't know exactly when, but we bet in at least one month of waiting for global consumers.
There are a few days ahead until the
iQOO 15 release. We expect the brand to share more details about it in the coming days. There are also rumors about a iQOO 15 Mini and a 15 Ultra coming later.
