Earlier this year, OnePlus launched the OnePlus 13T in China and the 13s in other markets. This flagship is a compact device for those who prefer and has high-end specifications as a plus. The device came alongside the OnePlus 13R, which is OnePlus's cost-effective flagship. Now, another Chinese brand,
iQOO, is gearing up to launch a device with a similar approach to the OnePlus 13T. The device will come as iQOO 15 Mini and
will launch next year alongside the upcoming iQOO 15 and iQOO 15 Ultra.
iQOO 15 Mini Coming Next Year
As per a leak, the iQOO is aiming at the upcoming OnePlus 15T/15s that comes next year as a successor to the OnePlus 13T. The iQOO 15 Mini will feature a display around the 6.3-inch size. That's the compact size nowadays adopted in this new trend among Chinese brands. We can expect a flat screen with an average bezel size and an embedded ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. Both devices will have at least 7,000 mAh battery capacity.
The iQOO 15 Mini will launch alongside the iQOO 15 Ultra next year, while the iQOO 15 is coming in a few weeks. The brand has already started the teasing campaign for it.
A New Trend Among Chinese Brands
According to previous rumors, OnePlus will continue to update this lineup and already has improvements for the next device. The OnePlus 15T/15s will come with a triple-camera setup, adding one extra camera over its predecessor. The device will also get a new chipset alongside the bigger battery. Thanks to the use of Si-C technology, we can believe in larger batteries even in devices with a compact size.
We expect more details to be revealed in due time. With the release of the new chipsets in the next month, we expect the market to be shaken in the end of 2025.
