Meizu MX4 and MX4 Pro prices dropped, still worth buying?

With rumours that Meizu are to launch the M2 Note and MX5 in June are customers still willing to buy current Meizu phones even at knock-down prices?

If we take all the rumours about Meizu as true that we have seen over the past few days then we come to the following conclusions:

Meizu have stopped making the MX4 Pro due to a Mediatek deal.
Meizu have been sued by Nubia over the design of the MX4 and MX3.
Meizu will launch the Meilan M2 Note on 2nd June with physical home button.
The Meizu MX5 will launch on 30th June.

With all these details racking up and official launch invitations already sent out to Chinese press and media Meizu fans and owners of current phones have a lot to think about.

But what about potential customers? Are they willing to buy phones that could be outdated or out of production in just a few weeks? Meizu hope yes, and have dropped pricing to lure customers over.

The official retail price of the MX4 now starts at just 1499 Yuan in China, with a 32GB model costing 1699 Yuan, where as the basic Meizu MX4 Pro is not on sale for just 1999 Yuan. The MX4 Pro is a deal at price and those specs (2k display, 3GB RAM etc) but will Meizu continue to support the Samsung powered phone with Mediatek now being a key investor?

There is a lot to think about here. While Meizu do have exciting announcements for June, they also risk alienating current Meizu MX4, Pro and Meilan owners!
