The Motorola Edge 70 Max has been caught in the wild. A hands-on video posted by leaker Anvin on X gives the clearest look yet at Motorola's upcoming premium phone — and Flipkart's official microsite has filled in the rest. The launch is July 15 in India. Here's everything confirmed before it happens.

Summary

  • July 15 India launch, Flipkart exclusive: Motorola confirmed the date via an official microsite — no pricing announced yet.
  • Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, 3 million+ AnTuTu: Qualcomm's latest flagship chip with a 46% NPU improvement over its predecessor, confirmed by Motorola.
  • 6.82-inch QHD+ LTPO AMOLED, 144Hz, 7,000 nits: Dynamic 1–144Hz refresh rate with Corning Gorilla Glass 7 protection.
  • 7,100mAh battery, 90W wired, Qi2 25W wireless: Motorola claims this is the first phone in its segment to support native magnetic wireless charging.
  • Sony Lytia 50MP primary with OIS, dedicated AI button: Flat aluminum frame, glass back, pale green color visible in the hands-on video.

The Hardware That Stands Out

Two things jump out from the confirmed specs. The first is the battery. A 7,100mAh cell is genuinely large for a phone in this tier — Motorola claims up to 58 hours of use between charges, which puts it comfortably into two-day territory even for heavy users. The 90W TurboPower wired charging handles recovery quickly.
The second standout is the Qi2 25W magnetic wireless charging. Motorola is positioning this as a segment first — the first phone in its category to support built-in magnets for native magnetic wireless charging, not a case-dependent workaround. Combined with the WPC certification we covered earlier, this confirms what Motorola has been teasing: full Qi2.2.1 compliance with built-in alignment magnets, meaning the entire ecosystem of Qi2 accessories works without any extra hardware.

The Design in the Wild

The hands-on video shows a flat-display phone with slim bezels, a dedicated AI button on the left spine, and a square camera module on the back housing a 50MP Sony Lytia primary sensor with OIS. The ArcticMesh cooling system uses a 5,500mm² vapor chamber — Motorola says it's designed specifically for sustained gaming workloads under the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. MIL-STD-810H certification rounds out the durability credentials. Three colors are confirmed from leaked renders: Onyx Black, Sage Green, and Glacier Blue.
